Gastronomy
The Llucmajor municipality enjoys a great offer of restaurants, where the visitor can degustate the typical mjorcan cuisine, a heritage from over centuries and offering a great variety of meat- and fish-dishes, of course accompanied by excellent wines.

Among the typical dishes of our cuisine the following are outstanding:

Sopes Mallorquines (Majorcan Soup):

Elaborated with thin slices of hard bread, over which a good stock is poured and vegetable and pork-meat added

Trempò:

The most typical summer-salad, composed of tomato, green peppers and onion, cut into small pieces and dressed with olive oil, salt and vinnegar.

Tombet:

Prepared of thin slices of potato, egg-plant, peppers and courgette, all fried together and covered with a tomato-sauce.

Pa amb oli:

Slices of bread, with a little bit of salt, are rubbed with a soft tomato and basted with olive oil. Then cured ham, cheese or meat and olives are added.

Frit mallorquí:

Consists of the bowels of lamb or pork, diced into small pieces and fried with garlic, fennel, potatoes and vegetables.

Ensaïmada:

A sweet cake in a spiral form with lard, filled with cream, pumpkin marmalade, chocolate,...

Sausages:

The sobrassada, botifarró and camayot are the typical sausages by excellence.  Elborated with pork meat and spiced with sweet red pepper, salt and black pepper.
